About Me!

Hi! My name is Avery Etchison. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma. I am majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing and Sports Business. After graduation, I plan on becoming a Public Relation specialist for an organization that is innovative and applies creative marketing in order to satisfy clients.

I grew up in a small town called Muskogee, Oklahoma. While I do not plan to move back there after college, Muskogee will always be my home. My hometown is very important to me as I will never forget where I came from nor let that part of me go. My family and friends are my reasoning for everything I do and I strive to make them proud everyday. I want to represent my family well as they have sacrificed many things to help me succeed.

I am an enterprising Public Relations professional who utilizes strategic marketing to elevate brands in all environments to create impactful engagement and connections. I exploit creativity and self-value to assist others in achieving their goals.

Throughout my growing work experience I have had the opportunity to improve many skills including communication, problem-solving, collaboration, customer service, and adaptability. I have worked in many retail and service environments that support the qualities identified. I currently as serving as a Student Production Assistant for SoonerVision at the University of Oklahoma. This has taught me skills that are often over looked as they are not seen in front of the camera. I will use these skills to execute proficient work along with my values that demonstrate my work ethic and dedication.
